TAKE 6 is the most awarded a cappella group in history, with ten Grammy’s, ten Dove Awards (Gospel Music Awards), Best Jazz Vocal Group honors for seven consecutive years in Downbeat’s prestigious Reader’s and Critic’s Poll, a Soul Train Music Award, BRE (Black Radio Exclusive) Vocal Group of the Year, two NAACP Image Award nominations, induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and countless other musical and humanitarian citations. Known for dense jazzy chords and wondrously melismatic soloists, this gospel jazz sextet has been heard from New York’s famed Blue Note to the Montreux Jazz Festival, from PBS to ABC-TV specials. Heralded by Quincy Jones as the “baddest vocal cats on the planet!”, TAKE 6 (Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley) boast performances on Saturday Night Live, the Oscars, the Grammys, and have had the honor of performing for four sitting U.S. Presidents. They remain the quintessential and pre-eminent a cappella group in the world. Julia Easterlin
Ethereal, mesmerizing and even spiritual, Julia Easterlin is a Live looper, layering her own live harmonies under leads that float, soar and pull at your heart. Now a Brooklynite, Julia hails from Georgia with performances that span the world: from Lollapalooza to TED conferences, from MIDEM to CMJ and SXSW. Her artistry has been awarded by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, the New York Songwriters Circle and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Julia has performed her unique style of layered live singing from Cuba to the Himalayas and she'd delighted to return to SingStrong where she made her a cappella festival debut. One of our most requested repeat artists, her last performance received a standing ovation after each song. [Performing Sat 9:30PM and Sunday 2PM]

Vivid Voices
Winners of the German Choir Competition in 2014 and the Aarhus Vocal Festival in 2015, this contemporary a cappella "choir" hails from the Hannover School for Music (HMTMH) in Germany. Under the award-winning jazz singer and choir director Claudia Burghard, these 45 students showcase the best in European a cappella. Scandinavian ambient sounds combine with Brazilian Samba rhythms, driving swing, and pervasive pop influence. Each note, each phrase is carefully crafted to bring well worn lyrics fresh life and transport the listener to a new level. MAXX Factor charmed America on NBC's TV show, "The Sing-Off" but before that, this quartet earned their crowns as the Sweet Adelines International Quartet Champions. They also boast first place at the National Harmony Sweepstakes. Passing the baton to the next generation, MAXX Factor are known internationally as teachers and coaches, helping students of all ages reach their full potential. MAXX has performed for United States Senators and Governors, the Baltimore Orioles, the Baltimore Ravens, the Philadelphia Phillies, NASCAR and the United States Naval Academy. In July of 2012, they represented Sweet Adelines International as "Barbershop Ambassadors" at the World Choir Games in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2014 they joined the 2014 Sing-Off Live Tour. Recent Milestones in 2015 included both The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore and Carnegie Hall in New York City. Come hail these Queens of Harmony! [Performing Sat 7:00 and Sunday 2PM]

Kaila Mullady World Beatbox Champion
Kaila Mullady is the current World Beatbox Champion, current American Vice Beatbox Champion, current Loop station champion, and current and 3-time Beatrhyme Champion. Beatrhyming is the art of performing a lead with lyrics, vocal percussion, and other backing accompaniment, all simultaneously, without the assistance of technology. Often incorporating vocal "trumpet" and improvisation to her unique sound, Kaila has performed across the East Coast at hip hop events, schools and even the world famous Blue Note Jazz Club. She recently lent her talents to hip-hop group, Ja'Shayla for their a cappella video of Lorde's "Royals". Beatbox fans will recognize her from her appearance on WBGO radio, and from her impressive showing in both the World and American Beatboxing Championships. [Performing Sat 7PM and Sunday at 2 PM]
