NOTES and Technical Specifications
All soundchecks listed above take place in the South Lakes HS Main Theatre, unless otherwise noted.
House Size
The house holds 576 permanent seats. Up to 20 removable seats may be added when demand is high.
MainStage Dimensions
Performers' usable stage dimensions are about 55 feet wide by 20 or more feet deep.
The stage's proscenium arch measures 18'6 feet high
From proscenium to the apron is 13'3 ft
Wing space is 14', however SingStrong personnel make extensive use this area.
The height from the floor to celing is 23'5
Technical Specifications
SingStrong Provides 18 or more Hand-held wireless Mics (Shure Beta 87As)
Note that we expect to have access to around 22 wireless mics, but some are typically pre-assigned (emcee1, emcee2, and 3 ACA-Idol judges) and therefore not available for group use in all concerts. However, we are always expanding our equipment so ask for what you want and we may be able to provide it.
15 Hand-held corded Mics (Shure SM58)
1 belt-pack transmitter (for anyone using a head-worn mic or throat-mic, such as a thumper)
3 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Area Mics
2 Small-Diaphragm Condenser Area Mics
3 DI boxes
Tri-Amp'd Front of House Speakers with JBL VRX 932's complete with four 18-inch subwoofers = clear, loud, punchy, bass-y
2 types of Octave doubling effects- OC3 and dBx Harmonic Synthesis
4 Yamaha Stage monitors
Yamaha Digital Mixer with scene recall (what we set up in sound check, will be the same every time you take the stage).
Individual EQ and Compression on every input.
Studio Quality Reverbs, Delays, etc.
Regular Stands and Boom stands are available on request.
We are generally able to provide the above technical support, and sometimes more, however, this is not an absolute promise. Technology sometimes fails. When that happens, we will all do our best and roll with the punches!
